Follow our live blog for the third day of rehearsals for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Be sure to refresh the page to follow our thoughts on the second rehearsals from Poland, Malta, F.Y.R Macedonia, Israel, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Ireland and Italy.
Poland – Olivia Wieczorek – “Nie zapomnij”
First up to rehearse was Olivia from Poland. There were no real changes made here, and Olivia gave another solid vocal performance. Overall this looks really nice.
Malta – Christina Magrin – “Parachute”
Next up we have Malta’s Chrstina Magrin, and there have been some radical changes made here. The dancers are gone, and Christina is now alone on stage. Just before the last chorus there are also some bursts of smoke. This could be a good move, as the dancers and rollerboards may have been a little distracting. Now it’s all about Christina and her excellent voice.
F.Y.R Macedonia – Martija Stanojković – “Love Will Lead Our Way”
Martija from F.Y.R Macedonia was up next to rehearse, and again there was no real change in their performance from their first rehearsal on Tuesday. Whilst Martija and her backing dancers performed in their own clothes again today, in an interview with junioreurovision.tv, she revealed her costume for Sunday – a spangly, glittery pink jumpsuit. This is sure to look great on the day.

Israel – Shir & Tim – “Follow My Heart”
Israel were up next, and there have been some slight changes to their presentation. Firstly, Shir’s outfit has changed, and she is now wearing a black and white dress with pumps, as opposed to the white t-shirt and black tutu she wore on Tuesday, in my opinion a far prettier outfit but it doesn’t match quite as well with Tim’s outfit. The background has also changed to a galaxy / starry sky.
The Netherlands – Kisses – “Kisses and Dancin’”
After a lunch break, Kisses from the Netherlands took to the stage. They’ve change their outfits since the first rehearsal, and are now wearing outfits made of matching comic book print, a far better choice in my opinion. However, the girls admitted in an interview with junioreurovision.tv that they prefer their first outfits, because they are more “glitter and glamour”. This seems more polished than the first rehearsal, and was overall another great run through.

Cyprus – George Michaelides – “Dance Floor”
George from Cyprus was up next, and there has been no real change here either. This looks as polished and professional as ever, and could do very well on Sunday if it comes across as well on camera as it does in rehearsals.
Ireland – Zena Donnelly – “Bríce Ar Bhríce”
Ireland were next to rehearse, and there have been some pretty big changes here. We have our first glimpse at Zena’s costume, which is an ice-blue, frilly dress with matching boots and gloves, and some floating hearts have been added to the night sky background. The biggest change, however, is that the final chorus is now being sung in English. Overall, this was another solid performance from Zena.
Italy – Fiamma Boccia – “Cara Mamma (Dear Mom)”
The final rehearsal of the day came from Italy’s Fiamma Boccia, and little has changed with her performance, with the outfit and backdrop remaining the same. Her vocals weren’t quite as strong this time around, however she still sounded great today and I’m sure she’ll sound perfect on Sunday.
