RTVE the Spanish national broadcaster has announced today they will use “Objetivo Eurovisión 2017” to select their participant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.
Spain has announced for a second year they will be using a televised selection to pick their participant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. From October 27 to November 27 interested singers will have the opportunity to register their interest in participating and submit a song to the broadcaster. RTVE will then upload up to 30 songs onto the broadcasters website where the public can vote for their favourite. The top 10 will go onto an independent jury who will select 3 to perform in a pre-selection show in January, the public will then select one singer to go through to the selection final.
The final itself will be held in February where the publicly selected finalist will join other singers that RTVE have selected to compete in the selection process. The winner of the Spanish selection will be decided by a combination of jury voting and a public vote.
