Shir & Tim have been announced as the Israeli participants in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Malta this November.

Shira Frieman (13) and  TimoTi Sannikov (13) will be representing Israel on their return to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The two singers were internally selected by IBA to represent Israel, the song that they will be performing is titled “Follow My Heart”. On the jury that selected the two singers were representatives of the Israel Association of Community Centers, Department Directors Association of Local Government Center of Culture, Ministry of Education, and IBA Artists.

Shira is already known to the Israeli public having participated in the third series of Music School, she has gone on to perform in a number of shows and voice dubbing in “Finding Dory”. TimoTi has already participated in song contests across Europe such as New Wave Junior and The Voice Kids in Ukraine, and recently starred in the musical “Billy Elliot”.

The Israeli entry is being written by Noam Horev, the songwriter has previous Eurovision experience having written the lyrics for “Milim” the country’s song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. The music video for the country’s entry is expected to be released soon.
