STB has announced the dates and locations for the auditions to compete in the Ukrainian Eurovision 2017 selection process.
STB will once again be travelling around Ukraine ahead of the countries Eurovision selection, to stage auditions for the contest. Between November and December, the selection process will hold one day auditions in six cities. The dates and locations are as follows:
- Odessa – 6 November
- Dnipro – 13 November
- Zaporizhia – 20 November
- Kharkiv – 27 November
- Lviv – 4 December
- Kyiv – 11 December
Alongside the live auditions process, singers wishing to compete can fill in an application online. The online selection is open until 10 January 2017, the public will then be able to vote for their favourite song in the online selection by liking the participants profile page. The winner of the online selection will make it directly through to the final of the Ukrainian selection process. Between 20 and 40 acts will be selected by NTU and STB to compete in the selection process, the names of the qualifiers are announced on 31 January 2017.
The selection process will then follow a similar format to last years selection process, with between 3 and 4 semi finals being held to select the finalists. Between 2 and 3 singers from each semi final will be selected by the Ukrainian public and the jury to go through to the final. Both the semi finals and final will be held during February.
