RTCG the national broadcaster of Montenegro is exploring how they will select their participant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kyiv, Ukraine.
CDM reports that RTCG is currently discussing as to how they will select their participant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. For the past five years the country has opted to use an internal selection for both the singer and their song in the Eurovision Song Contest. In the past three years the Montenegrin participant for the Eurovision Song Contest has been announced in either September or October.
According to CDM the Montenegrin Head of Delegation, Sabrija Vulić has stated that Montenegro is looking at changing how they select their participant. Montenegro has not held a televised national selection process since 2008, when MontenegroSong selected Stefan Filipović to perform in Belgrade. Despite rumors of Milena Vučić being selected to represent Montenegro in Kyiv, no singer is currently in the running with RTCG to represent Montenegro.
Montenegro will be marking 10 years in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2017, having debuted at the 2007 contest in Helsinki, Finland. The country has taken to the Eurovision stage on eight occasions, making the final in both 2014 and 2015. Montenegro did not participate in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 or 2011 due to financial difficulties at RTCG.

Remember Maša Vujadinović from Junior Eurovision 2014? Maša celebrated her sweet 16 a few days ago, so therefore she’s finally eligible for the adult’s Eurovision! Jana Mirković who is from JESC 2015 turned 16 a few months ago, and she’s finally eligible for the adult’s contest as well. 🙂
