
The Times of Malta has reported that PBS has spent at least double their normal budget in their quest to win the 61st Eurovision Song Contest.
Malta normally spends according to the newspaper between €200,000 and €300,000, however conservative reports state that the broadcaster has spent at least €400,000 and €600,000. Malta this year are hoping to win the Eurovision Song Contest with returning artist “Ira Losco” and the song “Walk On Water”. Heading into the contest Malta were one of the favourites to win this years contest, they currently sit 7th in the odds.
