It’s the first day of the rehearsals ahead of the 61st Eurovision Song Contest and here’s a look at the day ahead.
Everyday we will be bringing you an overview of what you can expect from our coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest as well as key pieces of information for the day. Here’s a breakdown of what is happening today:
- First rehearsals get underway from 10:00 CET for the first nine countries competing in the first semi final. These rehearsals end at 17:10 CET with Sergey Lazarev’s rehearsal for Russia.
- Press conferences will be held for all nine countries, these will occur around 2 hours after the end of their first rehearsal starting from 12:10 CET and ending at 19:15 CET.
- All the news from outside of the bubble, we’ll bring you news regarding spokespersons, broadcasts and much more.

The footage from the rehearsals will only come in the form of Eurovision.tv videos which show around 30 seconds of the performance. The first rehearsals for all of the countries are closed off to press recordings.

- 11:00 CET onwards the rehearsals will be shown live from Globen, These can be viewed at Lilla Baren.

- 17:00 CET – 01:00 CET – DJ will be playing all the best from Eurovision and national selections at Euro Fan Cafe.
