Aftonbladet is reporting that this years Eurovision Song Contest could be affected by a planned strike from April 18 at SVT.
50 members of the staff working on this years contest in Stockholm are known to be part of 800 members of SVT staff planning on striking from later this month. The newspaper reports that meetings were held by the organising committee for Eurovision at SVT, they are hoping that the strike can be resolved before the shows themselves take place in May.
Strikes have occurred before around the Eurovision Song Contest, famously at the BBC resulting in the contest having to be rescheduled for a later date.
