Roger Cicero who represented Germany at the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest has died at the age of 45.
The well known and much loved singer died last Thursday from a stroke, the singer had only earlier in the week before been on Television promoting his latest album. Roger Cicero was born on July 9, 1970 in Berlin and went on to become one of the biggest names in German jazz music.
Roger released eight albums over his career and released 19 singles. In 2007 he was selected to represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest with “Frauen regier’n die Welt”, the song went on to reach 7th in the German charts his top charting record of his career. In Helsinki Germany finished the night in 19th place with a total of 49 points.
Roger Cicero’s management has asked fans to send a donation to the Save The Children Trust as a memory for Roger Cicero.
