Tonight, the first semi final of Songvakeppnin, Iceland’s selection method to choose its Eurovision entry took place this evening. Six acts competed for three places in the grand final on 20th February. The acts competing tonight were as follows:
- Greta Salome Stefansdottir – Raddirnar
- Erna Hronn Olafsdottir & Hjortur Traustason – Hugur Minn Er
- Ingolfur Þórarinsson – Fátækur námsmaður
- EVA – Ég sé þig
- Karlotta Sigurðardóttir – Óstöðvandi
- Sigga Eyrún – Kreisí
The three acts that have qualified for the final are:
- Greta Salome Stefansdottir – Raddirnar
- Erna Hronn Olafsdottir & Hjortur Traustason – Hugur Minn Er
- Karlotta Sigurðardóttir – Óstöðvandi
Semi-final two will take place on Saturday 13th February, where another six artists will compete for three places in the grand final.
