It has been revealed this morning that ARD/NDR will give the public say in who will represent Germany at Eurovision 2016.

The Chairman of ARD and NDR have agreed this morning that the German public will select the singer who will represent Germany at the next Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm, Sweden. The decision comes after last weeks debacle surrounding the internal selection of Xavier Naidoo and his subsequent removal as the German participant.

ARD has over the last week distanced itself from NDR confirming that the selection of Xavier Naidoo was entirely down to NDR and had no input from ARD.
