Albania: Andri Xhahu Defends Festivali i Kenges

Andri Defends FiK

Andri Xhahu the voice of Eurovision in Albania has defended the use of Festivali i Kenges as the countries selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Andri was responding to comments from fans that Albania should use Kenga Magjike instead of Festivali i Kenges to select the countries entrant for Eurovision. His comments focus on the countries 12 year history in Eurovision in which he points out Albania has made the final on 7 occasions, not a small feat for a country like Albania. Furthermore he adds that songs need to have melody, text, spirit, message, emotion and a voice something that all of the singers have delivered.

He sums up by saying:

A good song cannot be exchanged for any pyrotechnic effect, nor costume change.

Albania will be using Festivali i Kenges to select their Eurovision 2016 participant with the final being held on December 27.

  1. RTSH can’t use Kenga Magjike as the NF for Eurovision since it’s airead on another broadcaster. Simple.
