A documentary looking into the Eurovision 2006 winners Lordi is set for its international premiere on May 9th.
The documentary is called โMonstermanโ, and follows Lordi and their front manย Tomi Putaansuu also known as Mr Lordi. The programme covers how Tomi as a child created a world of monsters and how that dream is now kept alive despite him now being in his early 40s. It also shows the struggles of band, how five years on Lordi were struggling to get gigs and were in serious debt as interest in the band had dried up.
The documentary is directed byย Antti Haase who grew up with Tomi in the 1980s. The film will debut in Vancouver, Canada.
