Cân i Gymru 2015 took place on Saturday night in Wales, with a total of eight songs competing to win “A Song for Wales”.
The contest was won by Elin Angharad and Arfon Wyn with the song “Y Lleuad a’r Ser”. Elin who is from Angelsey won £3,500 and will go on to represent Wales at this years Pan Celtic Song Contest in Derry.
S4C’s entertainment commissioner, Elen Rhys said that:
The standards were extremely high once again this year and congratulations to all the talented artists for a memorable evening of dynamic performances. But, there can only be one winner, and that song is Y Lleuad a’r Ser by Elin Angharad and Arfon Wyn. A huge congratulations to them both and I wish them all the best at the Pan-Celtic Song Festival in Ireland.
