TVR has announced that they have received just under 100 entries for their 2015 Eurovision selection process. Submissions came from both within Romania, but also from Australia, Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom and others.
The 12 finalists will be announced on Wednesday after a jury listens to all of the songs. Artists that are known to have submit songs include Luminita Anghel who represented Romania in Eurovision 2005, this will be her third attempt at representing Romania since 2005.
The Romanian Head of Delegation, Liana Stanciu, said that:
This year, they scored big names in music. It is fantastic! I want very much like one of the 12 songs that will enter the final mean something in music history, even in our country, because too many good songs disappeared. I hope to change the way Europeans look at us and musicians can contribute to this. Music is more than an artistic act is a messenger. I believe in the fundamental value of music in its purpose. Let’s speak Romanian 2015!
