Tonight, Iceland held their final semi-final to determine a further three acts to qualify to the Songvakeppnin final. These acts were chosen by public televoting only. In addition to this, a jury wild card was chosen from this semi-final, meaning four acts from this semi-final progress to next weeks final. The six acts competing in this semi-final were as follows (qualifiers highlighted in bold):
- Haukur Heiðar Hauksson – Milljón augnablik (Jury Wildcard)
- María Ólafsdóttir – Lítil skref
- Sunday – Fjaðrir
- Regina Ósk – Aldrei of seint
- Bjarni Lárus Hall – Brotið gler
- CADEM – Fyrir alla
These four acts will join the following three artists in the final:
Elín Sif Halldórsdóttir – Í kvöld
Friðrik Dór – Í síðasta skipti
Björn og félagar – Piltur og stúlka
Meaning a total of seven acts will compete for the ticket to Vienna in the Songvakeppnin 2015 final. This will take place next Saturday 14th February on Valentine’s Day. Who do you think will get the ticket to Vienna? Post your comments below!
