From Solju we head to Angelo De Nile, Angelo is one of the more interesting acts in this years contest and has made an impression on us. Here is what he had to say:
Firstly can you tell us a little bit more about yourself and what it was that made you take part in UMK 2015?
I am Angelo. I have a story to tell. UMK seemed like a suitable forum to reach many people at the same time.
Your music video for your UMK entry is very interesting, can you tell us more about it?
This video shows clips from my past lives. It’s been a wild ride as you can see!
Your song is called “All For Victory”, when the song was written was it with the plan to submit it for Eurovision or did the idea of Eurovision come later?
We have been working on a musical extravaganza about my life and “All for Victory ” is the first release from it. As mentioned before UMK provides a great platform to “come out. The song itself was born in the beginning of August 2014.
Now your biography says that you are a mix of a human and the devil. what brought about the character of Angelo de Nile?
Must say that my “devilish”side comes from the fact that I’ve only been around when people have wanted to act against better judgement and needed to wage a war or some other follies and needed someone to ignite the fire. That makes me only human among the humans. I’ve been around this long
’cause it seems that people never learn. By our music I’m trying to make people think about our history and maybe learn from it.
Going into UMK what are your expectations?
It’s all for victory!
How does it feel to have you music heard across the world thanks to UMK?
It is a privilege. There’s so much music out there and to get your message through nowadays is pretty hard.TV is still the best tool to work with
in order to be seen, heard and discussed about.
