Tonight the Welcome Reception takes place at the Verdala Palace, the Reception will also see the draw for the running order take place. The night will start with all of the delegations arriving to the Red Carpet at the President’s Official Summer House, before the serious matter of the draw takes place.
The running order draw will take place in the following way:
- Malta will pick their running position at random
- Two countries will then be selected at random to open and close the show
- The remaining 13 countries will then select at random whether they will perform in the First Half (2-8) or the Second Half (9-15)
The order for the 13 countries will be the following (2 countries will be removed from the list as they will be performing 1st or 16th):
- Croatia
- Bulgaria
- San Marino
- Montenegro
- Cyprus
- Slovenia
- Russia
- The Netherlands
- Belarus
- Serbia
- Sweden
- Italy
- Georgia
- Ukraine
- Armenia
Once all of the draws are complete the Executive Supervisor of the Contest Vladislav Yakovlev and the Production Team will come together to propose the running order for the show. The running order will be published 45 minutes after the end of the televised Running Order Draw on JuniorEurovision.tv.
