Emilija Djonin who is representing Serbia at this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest held her final press conference before leaving for Malta. The press conference took place this afternoon in Belgrade at the national broadcaster (RTS) headquarters.
Emily told the attended press that:
I hope that as many of our people will vote for Serbia and that will be with me. Thank you all for coming. I’ll do my best to Malta and I believe in good standings and scores,
Dragan Ilić the head of the Serbian delegation said that:
Today is a special day for all of us because Serbia after three years returned to the stage ‘Children’s Eurovision Song Contest. We remind you at a tremendous help host this year’s competition – the Public Service of Malta, which has enabled us to participate.
He went on to say that:
We believe that our diaspora support Emily Djonin where participation in the ‘Eurovision’ should be fun because we certainly pride and great joy because we have such a representative voice and musical abilities.
Also at today’s press conference were the 2010 Serbian participant Sonja Škorić and Serbia’s 2007 participant Nevena Božović. Nevena who went on to represent Serbia at Eurovision 2013 with Moje 3 showed her support for the contest saying:
Children Eurovision is something special for every performer and I am convinced that Emily, just like I used to, enjoy this scene in his international debut. I wish her the best of luck and success,
