DR have received a total of 687 song submissions for Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015. DR will now go through and listen to all of the submissions before selecting the best to go through to the final on February 7th in Aalborg.
Jan Lagermand Lundme the Producer of the show told DR that:
The number of songs is not important in itself.Of course it is good to have something to choose from, but the most important is the quality of the songs. We feel that we have come up with the right of songwriters in recent years. These are the best people from both Denmark and other European countries that send numbers into. Here are both established names and new talents that DR may help on the way, if they get a song in the Danish Melodi Grand Prix.
DR will select up to 7 songs from the submissions, while a further 3-4 songs will be submitted through a wildcard invitation from the broadcaster to artists.
