
Viewing figures for Germany increased by 750,000 over 2013, as 8.96 million tuned in to watch the contest. At the peak of the contest a total of 10.81 million people were watching the contest in Germany. The contest was very popular with those between 14-49 year old with 4.48 million watching.
In the run up to the final “Eurovision Song Contest 2013 – Countdown to Copenhagen” was broadcast, a total of 4.84 million people tuned in, while post Eurovision the “Grand Prix Party” pulled in 2.67 million viewers. The Head of Delegation for Germany; Thomas Schreiber said:

Elaiza finished in 18th place with 39 points, the band placed 4 places higher than Cascada in 2013.
