The preliminary budget for the contest has been set at $4 million, which is the same cost as the inaugural contest held in Turkey last December. The contest is viewed by Marat Khayrullin (Deputy at the State Council for Tatarstan) as a way of not only growing in Cultural importance but also economically;

Mr Khayrullin also put emphasis on the impact for Tatar artists, who would be exposed to a music market of over 200 million people.

As the Cultural Capital of the Turkic world for 2014, Kazan will be holding a number of events through out the year with Türkvizyon  being the highlight. The date of the contest has yet to be confirmed, however they are planning for it to be held in late November or December.
