According to Greektv.com Greece could be returning to Junior Eurovision 2014. The website in an article about Greece confirming they will be taking part in Eurovision 2014, says that the board of NERIT are interested in taking part in Junior Eurovision as well as Eurovision Young Musicians.

The Board of the new Greek broadcaster said that:

Recommendation of the Board President & CEO and the interactive discussion that followed, the Governing Council shall act unanimously on underwriting commitments remaining for programs Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Eurovision Young Musicians and Eurovision Song Contest, after the initial signatories for contracts by public service broadcast

Greece have not taken part in Junior Eurovision since 2008, withdrawing from the contest due to low viewing figures, an opposition to the use of children in the contest as well as the economic crisis. DT the interim broadcaster agreed to broadcast Junior Eurovision 2013.

Greece should be returning at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014.I would like to see what modern Greek children can really do live on TV.In addition,if Greece win the contest the viewing figures will rise to 40% than 12%.Moreover, I hope that Denmark,Cyprus,Albania and Spain will return to Junior Eurovision after they host the Eurovision 2014,as well as,Germany,Italy,Hungary,Finland and Ireland will debut this year.Belgium and Norway are out of this,anyway.Armenia,Azerbaijan,Belarus,Moldova,San Marino,Georgia and F.Y.R.Macedonia please don’t leave the contest.
