Hera Bjork the 2010 Icelandic Eurovision entrant and Chiara the 1998, 2005 and 2009 entrant for Malta at Eurovision have teamed together to become “Two Divas”. They have covered the Dolly Parton hit “9 to 5” which will feature on a 5 song EP featuring the two singers.
Hera said that:
We’ve talked about doing a duet for a couple of years but somehow it hasn’t worked out until now. When Valgeir Magnusson at Hands Up Music suggested the song “9 to 5″ everything just clicked, and when we got Orlygur Smari on board, the outcome was bound to be good,” says Hera Bjork about the collaboration.
Chiara went on to say:
When we first met and started talking, we realized we were both big fans of each other as a singer. We laughed a lot and decided to do something together. And now when it finally happened everything worked out so perfectly. We got the opportunity to perform the song live in Munich last week, and with all the excitement of a live performance and the positive feedback from the audience we just had the time of our lives. Those moments are truly amazing.
