The German Eurovision commentator Peter Urban has taken retirement from television at the age of 65. Urban has been the commentator for Germany at Eurovision since 1997. He is leaving NDR where he had been an editor and member of staff for 40 years. The Director of NDR has however stated that Peter wishes to continue doing commentary for Eurovision in the coming years.
