VRT the Belgian Flemish broadcaster has announced that it will be returning to an open national selection. Which will use the old selection’s name of Eurosong.
This new selection will be spread out over a number of weeks, however the format that Eurosong used to exist under will change. Those changes will be announced in due course. VRT last used Eurosong back in 2008, in that year they failed to qualify for the final with the song “O Julissi”. VRT in 2010 and 2012 used a closed selection to pick their entrant, whilst the song was chosen through a public televote.
