Lys Assia’s Facebook and Twitter accounts have confirmed that the 89 year old Lys Assia will not be at this years Eurovision Song Contest. On Sunday we reported that there was a chance she would be in Malmo, however due to her illness persisting she will now not be at Eurovision at all.
In another odd turns of events at around 20:00 CET the official twitter account of Lys Assia issued a tweet that read “#rip”, however this tweet has now been removed from the account. It has sent fans into confusion as many had begun to issue tweet reading “#RIP Lys Assia”.
