Denmark is the only country tonight holding their National Final, but tonight’s show is full of Eurovision past, present and future. The final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix comes from Herning tonight and sees 10 artists battling it out to represent Denmark across the Øresund in Malmö. Here are tonight’s artist:
- Frederikke Vedel – “Jeg har hele tiden vidst det”
- Brinck – “Human”
- Kate Hall – “I’m not alone”
- Louise Dubiel – “Rejs dig op”
- Daze – “We own the universe”
- Simone – “Stay Awake”
- Jack Rowan feat. Sam Gray – “Invincible”
- Emmelie de Forest – “Only Teardrops”
- Albin – “Beautiful to me”
- Mohamed – “Unbreakable”
Brinck is the only former Eurovision entrant taking part tonight, he represented Denmark back in 2009 with the song “Believe Again”, he finished 13th with 74 points. The fan favourite for tonight is Emmelie de Forest with “Only Teardrops”
Tonight’s show will also see Johnny Logan, Brotherhood of Man and the Herrey’s perform during the interval along with Soluna Samay the 2012 Danish Eurovision entrant.
There are two stages to tonight’s contest, the first part sees all 10 songs take part and then voted upon, three will then qualify for the super final where they will perform again and the winner will be chosen from. The winner of the show will be chosen by a 50/50 jury and televote split. The jury is made up of Kato, Lis Sørensen, Cutfather, Maria Lucia and Jørgen de Mylius.
