Tonight’s 1st semi final of Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins brought results that many weren’t expecting, with only one of the two past Eurovision participants making it to the final. So here are the results:
- Birgitta Haukdal – Meðal Andanna
- Svavar Knútur Kristinsson and Hreindís Ylva Garðarsdóttir Hólm – Lífið Snýst

Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson – Ég á Líf
This means that Yohanna has not made it through to the final along with last years favourite to win the Icelandic selection Magni Ásgeirsson. Joining those two in being knocked out is Edda Viðarsdóttir. There is a chance that one of the three knocked out could be the juries wildcard entry for the final.
Tomorrow night at 21:00 local time (20:00 CET) is the second semi final.
