John de Mol the renowned Dutch producer who teamed up with TROS this year to revamp the Dutch National Selection has split from TROS due to disagreements over TROS not internally selecting Anouk for Eurovision 2013. A spokesperson for John de Mol said “It’s like Messi asking Frank de Boer to join the Ajax football league, and then demanding him to play a test match.” Co-operation between TROS and de Mols company was due to end this year anyway due to the failure of Joan Franka to make it to the final. Currently it looks like AVRO and TROS will be working together on next years Naational Songfestival.
