In first National Final of the night Gaitana has won the Ukrainian National Final held in Kiev. For the past couple of years the Ukrainian selection has been known for vote rigging and discrepancies regarding staging, camera work and the showcase of the song. Today’s show tried to change all that with SMS voting limited to one vote per phone, the voting started at the first song, the results of the sms vote was combined with the jury vote. Gaitana with her song “Be My Guest” received 3539 votes giving her 20 public points, while she was the favourites with the jury receiving 21 points giving her a total of 41 points beating Max Barskih with “Dance” by 3 points.
