Today is the last day that you can give in your song for Melodi Grand Prix 2012 in Norway and yesterday was the first day you can enter your song fro Melodifestivalen 2012. According to NRK nearly the same number of entries as last year have been entered which is around 700, these come from Norway and as far afeild as Australia. All the songs are being put in front of a 8 member panel of experts from the music industry and from NRK. More information will be released in a short time.

Now SVT has announced all we need to know about Melodifestivalen. Submission are available in the following two ways. Songwriters with previously published songs, shall submit their song to the normal competition, where a jury will listen to all songs submitted and 16 artists will be chosen to participate in Melodifestivalen 2012. The second way is songwriters without any published work for sale in Sweden or abroad before October 1st, 2011, shall submit their songs to the Webbjoker competition, which will include a number of stages online, with the final round on November 7th. The winner of this round will go on to participate in Melodifestivalen 2012. 
SVT then invites a further 15 songs to participate bringing the number upto 32 songs for the netire selection process. The Traditional Six citys in six Saturdays will continue with the dates and citys below:
