Italy: Emma To Copenhagen?

Is Emma Marrone Off To Copenhagen?

Recent tweets by the music producer Brando have fueled speculation that Emma Marrone will be representing Italy at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest.

While Emma has not been officially confirmed as the Eurovision entrant for Copenhagen, Brando’s tweets are strong hints. As well as news today that RAI will more than likely be selecting their Eurovision entrant internally instead of using San Remo.

Here is a look at Brando’s tweets:

Hej til alle means Hello In Danish

The tweet above is from the 28th of December 2013, and is the start of Brando’s tweets. As the tweet below from January 1st shows another tweet in Danish this time to Emma herself as well as her farther and friend Francesca Rosario.

Her kommer vi means Here we go

The final tweet yesterday has sparked fans interests. Despite the fact it is not written in any specific language, the last word of the tweet resembles Copenhagen.

Sukenaghen, could it be Copenhagen?

If the decision is taken to select Emma, then it would be the first time since Italy’s return in 2011 that an act would be selected outside of San Remo.
