The voting is always the most exciting part of the show, and that moment when you realise that you watch the contest so much, you notice when the spokespersons have changed. But it is also the time when some countries wheel back out their past Eurovision participants, and tonight is no exception. So let’s see the famous faces who are making their appearance tonight.
- Norway (Announcing 13th) – Tooji
Tooji represented Norway at the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest coming last with just 10 points. Tooji since last year has released another single called “If it wasn’t for you”.
- Armenia (Announcing 14th) – Andre
Andre was the first ever entrant to Eurovision from Armenia, he has released 4 albums since 2006 and is also providing commentary for the contest in Armenia.
- Latvia (Announcing 20th) – Anmary
Anmary was the 2012 Eurovision entrant for Latvia with “Beautiful Song”, since last year she has released a single called “Sari Gelin”. She is now working as both a singer and vocal coach.
- Bulgaria (Announcing 21st) – Joanna Dragneva
She was part of the 2008 Bulgarian entry Deep Zone Project, she was the main vocalist in their song “DJ, Take Me Away”.
- Russia (Announcing 23rd) – Alsou
Possibly one of the biggest names in Russian music, Alsou represent Russia at the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm with “Solo”. Since then she hosted the 2009 Eurovision final and has released six albums.
- Germany (Announcing 26th) – Lena
The winner of the 2010 contest with “Satellite” and also the 2011 entrant from Germany with “Taken By A Stranger”, Lena is one of the most recognisable faces of the night and the only winner announcing the votes. In 2012 she released her third album “Stardust”
There are also some other famous faces, that have not take part in Eurovision who are also announcing the vote tonight, they are:
- San Marino (Announcing 1st) – John Kennedy O’Connor
The man who litteraly wrote the book on Eurovision history, he also did some of the commentary for the semi finals.
- Sweden (Announcing 2nd) – Yohio
Yohio came second in Melodifestivalen this year despite winning the public televote.
- Finland (Announcing 17th) – Kristiina Wheeler
Born in the UK, Kristiina is now a famous singer in Finland having released two albums since 2005.
- Belarus (Announcing 19th) – Darya Domracheva
Won a bronze medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver in the Individual Biathlon.
- Estonia (Announcing 25th) – Rolf Roosalu
He’s taken part in the Estonian Eurovision selection process no less than six times, he also announced the vote back in 2010.
- Ireland (Announcing 30th) – Nicky Byrne
Is best known as being a member of Westlife, he is also known for his TV, Radio and charity work.
