Malaysia is one of the countries set to compete in the first edition of the Eurovision Song Contest Asia in 2026.

Media Prima (TV3) was announced on March 31, 2026 as one of ten broadcasters set to compete in the first edition of the Eurovision Song Contest Asia. Malaysia is set to compete in the final of the contest in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 14.

Eurovision Song Contest
While Malaysia is not eligible to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest, the contest has been aired in the country. In 1985, TV3 aired the final of the 30th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Gothenburg, Sweden on delay.
Our Sound โ The Asia-Pacific Song Contest
Our Sound was the first attempt to bring the Eurovision Song Contest to the Asia-Pacific region. The contest was due to be held in 2010 by a private company that had purchased the rights to an Asia-Pacific version of the contest.
