Lithuania made its debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 and is the only Baltic nation yet to win the contest, learn more below.

LRT of Lithuania debuted in the contest in 1994, but would not participate again until 1999. The country has had a mixed record in the contest with three top tens to date.

Lithuania broadcast the 1996 and 1998 contests without participating in the contest. In 2000 and 2003, Lithuania did not qualify for the contest due to poor results the previous year, they continued to air the contest.
Lithuania and other Eurovision family events
Lithuania has participated in four other Eurovision family events to date.
Europe Sings
Europe Sings held in 2015 in Vienna. The live event took place in Vienna at the Rathausplatz. Each choir performed a piece which had a national flavour to it, and then stay on stage to perform together popular choral songs. Liepaitės represented Lithuania at the non-competitive event.
Eurovision Dance Contest
Lithuania participated in the Eurovision Dance Contest across both editions of the contest. Lithuania’s best result came in 2008 when they placed within the top five.
- 2008 – Karina Krysko and Saulius Skambinas – 4th – 110 points
- 2007 – Gabrielė Valiukaitė and Gintaras Svistunavičius – 11th – 35 points
Eurovision Young Musicians
Lithuania participated once in Eurovision Young Musicians in 1994. Vilhelmas Čepinskis represented Lithuania in Warsaw, Poland, performing the violin but did not qualify for the final. LRT also aired the 2008 final.
Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Lithuania debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 and has participated in four editions to date. LRT the Lithuanian broadcaster is currently assessing a return to the contest in 2025, with the broadcaster airing the 2023 and 2024 contests to assess ratings.
