NTV has announced there commentary team for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 final on November 24 in Gliwice, Poland.
Vadim Tekmenev and Lera Kudryavtseva are set to provide the commentary for viewers on NTV watching the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 live from Poland. Vadim Tekmenev is a television presenter and the Head of Entertainment programming at NTV. He was also one of creators of “You are Super!”, which Denberel Oorzhak participated in.
Lera Kudryavtseva is a television presenter, actress and singer. Lera has been working in television since 1995, and has worked for NTV since the mid 2010s. She was previously in a relationship with Sergey Lazarev between 2008 and 2012, Sergey went on to represent Russia at Eurovision in 2016 and 2019.
This is the first time that a private broadcaster has aired the Junior Eurovision Song Contest alongside a public broadcaster. RTR will once again be airing the contest live on its children’s channel Karusel. NTV’s broadcaster comes as a result of Denberel Oorzhak’s participation in the broadcasters competition “You are Super!”.
Who are Tatyana Mezhentseva and Denberel Oorzhak?
Ten year old Tatyana Mezhentseva is from Moscow, and began singing at just 4 years old. Her other hobbies include dance and gymnastics, as well as playing the piano and the flute. Denberel Oorzhak was born in the Republic of Tuva in 2006, and is most well-known for winning the show “You are Super!”, as well as Children’s New Wave. The pair met during the New Wave contest, and went on to enter the Russian Junior Eurovision selection show, where they came out victorious with their song “A Time For Us”.

Russia debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 and has participated in the contest every year since. Russia won the contest for the first time in 2006 when they were represented by the Tolmachevy Twins with the song “Vesenniy jazz”, who scored a total of 154 points. Russia has never finished outside of the top 10 in their time at the contest, and have finished second twice, fourth four times and fifth once. At the 2017 contest in Georgia, Russia won the contest for a second time represented by Polina Bogusevich and “Wings”.
