Russia: Anna Filipchuk & Polina Bogusevich to Take Part in Joint Interview

Anna Filipchuk will be joined by last years Junior Eurovision winner Polina Bogusevich for a joint interview ahead of Junior Eurovision 2018.

Karusel will be bringing together this years Russian Junior Eurovision participant Anna Filipchuk and last years winner Polina Bogusevich. On November 12 the two singers will take part in a special live interview on VK, where Karusel will be allowing fans to ask the two singers questions about the competition.

Who is Anna Filipchuk?

Thirteen-year-old Anna Filipchuk was born on 9th November 2004 in Barnaul, Russia. Anna currently studies at the Igor Krutoy Academy, alongside practising rhythmic gymnastics. As well as singing, the young star has experience in TV presenting.

In June, Anna and 11 other artists took took part in Akedemiya Eurovision, performing their own original songs. Towards the end of the show, it was revealed that Anna had won with 9.91% of the votes. Anna will represent her country with her song “Unbreakable”.

Russia debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 and has participated in the contest every year since. Russia won the contest for the first time in 2006 when they were represented by the Tolmachevy Twins with the song “Vesenniy jazz”, who scored a total of 154 points. Russia has never finished outside of the top 10 in their time at the contest, and have finished second twice, fourth four times and fifth once. Last year in Georgia, Russia won the contest for a second time represented by Polina Bogusevich and “Wings”.
