Tonight: First Semi-Final of Destination Eurovision

Tonight France’s search for the Eurovision Song Contest begins tonight, as the first semi-final of Destination Eurovision takes place.

The first of two semi-finals gets underway tonight in France, as the country holds their first national selection process since 2014. Over the past two weeks, France 2 has revealed the names of the eighteen singers who are aiming to represent France in Lisbon.

The running order for tonight is:

1. Masoe – Paradis
2. Noée – L’un près de l’autre
3. Lisandro Cuxi – Eva
4. Malo’ – Ciao
5. Emmy Liyana – OK ou KO
6. Enéa – I’ll be there
7. Pheno Men – Jamais sans toi
8. Louka – Mamma mia
9. Ehla – J’ai cru

All three shows will be presented by Garou. In each semi-final, a jury made up of three Francophone and three international members will select four songs to advance to the final. The three Francophone jury members are Amir, who represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, Christophe Willem, and Isabelle Boulay. The three international jury members are Heads of Delegations from various countries: Christer Björkman (Sweden), Nicola Caligiore (Italy) and Olga Salamakha (Belarus).

In the final, the result will be decided by a jury of 10 international members (50%) and public voting (50%). Joining the Heads of Delegations from Sweden, Italy and Belarus will be the Heads of Delegation from Armenia, Bulgaria, Finland, Iceland, Israel, Russia, and Switzerland.

International jury:

• Christer Björkman – Head of Delegation for Sweden at Eurovision
• Nicola Caligiore – Head of Delegation for Italy at Eurovision
• Olga Salamakha – Head of Delegation for Belarus at Eurovision
