A total of eighteen songs have been submitted to Liet 2024, the Frisian language song contest.
Liet has announced that eighteen songs have been submitted to compete in the 2024 edition of the contest. In the next few days the songs will be reviewed by a jury who will select 12 to be voted on in a preliminary round.
The 12 acts will be voted on by the public, with the winner going directly to the final. A further seven finalists will be selected by the jury. On the jury are:
- Pieter de Boer – Musician
- Christa Niklewicz – Poet
- Denise Rivera – Singer
- Wim Brons – Radio presenter at Omrop Fryslân
The final of Liet 2024 will be held on September 19, the winner of Liet 2024 will represent Friesland at the Regio Songfestival 2024 in Limburg as well as Liet International 2024. Melissa Pander won Liet 2023 and placed 5th in the Regio Songfestival 2023.
