The revamp of “Too Epic to Be True”, the Estonian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, has been released.
The revamp and official music video of “Too Epic to Be True” were released last night. The music video was directed by Sander Allikmäe. The band explained that the revamp was made with the Eurovision stage and audience in mind.
“We wanted to bring a stronger, more live-driven version of the song to Eurovision. Our aim is to give it everything in Vienna, and the rockier sound really lets us take full advantage of the massive stage.”
Vanilla Ninja will perform the new version of “Too Epic to Be True” for the first time at the London Eurovision Party this Sunday. Shortly before travelling to Vienna, they will also perform during Veteran Rock in the Unibet Arena in Tallinn on April 23.
Vanilla Ninja also stated that their staging for Eurovision will be different than the one from Eesti Laul. On stage in Vienna, the band will be joined by drummer Borka, with Kaire Vilgats and Dagmar Oja providing backing vocals.
Vanilla Ninja will perform “Too Epic to Be True” in slot 9 in the first semi-final on May 12. They will return to the Eurovision Song Contest, having represented Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Kyiv.

Estonia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 alongside six other countries. At the contest in Dublin, they were represented by Silvi Vrait, who finished second last, scoring just 2 points. In 2001, Estonia won the Eurovision Song Contest for the only time to date. They were represented by Tanel Padar, Dave Benton & 2XL, who performed the song “Everybody” and took a surprise victory in Copenhagen. After the success of the late-90s and early 00s, Estonia failed to qualify for the final from 2004-2008. In 2009, Estonia launched a new selection show, Eesti Laul, and has since qualified for the final on 11 out of 16 attempts.
