The German National Broadcaster’s plans for Junior Eurovision 2024 have been revealed.
Eurovision.de has revealed the broadcast plans for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024. The finale in Madrid will be broadcast live both on KiKA (KinderKanal), and on Eurovision.de, on Saturday 16 November from 18:00 to 20:00 local time. Commentary will be provided by Consi.
The live broadcast of the final will be preceded by another programme, “Schau in meine Welt! Bjarne – Mein Weg zum Junior Eurovision Song Contest” (Look into my world! Bjarne – My path to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest), from 17:35 local time on the same channels. On the same day, viewers can tune from 7:40 to 7:55 local time on Das Erste for “Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 – Der Countdown” (The Countdown), and from 10:45 to 11:45 local time on KiKA for “Tigerenten Club” with Bjarne and Fia.
For the first time in the history of the contest, Junior Eurovision is going to be broadcast on German radio as well. The station Die Mause will broadcast the entire show from Madrid, including pre and post-show reports. Annika Witzel and Max Plate will commentate on the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on the radio and will host the live broadcast from 18:00 local time. From 20:00 to 20:30 there will be a summary of the show.
Junior Eurovision 2024
The 2024 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Madrid, following their second-place finish at the 2023 contest. The final will take place at the Caja Mágica on November 16, bringing the contest back to a Saturday for the first time since 2015. The winner, France, declined the hosting responsibility after hosting the 2023 edition in Nice.

Germany made their debut at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2020. They were represented by Susan with the song “Stronger with You”, scoring 66 points, finishing 12th and last. In 2021 Pauline performed “Imagine Us” and finished 17th with 61 points. Their best result was achieved at the 2023 contest, where they returned after a year out. FIA finished 9th with her song “Ohne Worte”.
