An average audience of 7.6 million viewers watched the Grand Final of the 68th Eurovision Song Contest on BBC One.
The United Kingdom saw an average of 7.6 million viewers watch the Grand Final of Eurovision 2024. The final recorded an audience share of 57% of viewers. The figure is down 2.3 million viewers, however last year saw the United Kingdom host and record a viewing share of 63%.
The United Kingdom has reported the second largest average viewing audience for the Grand Final to date. The audiences reported so far are:
- Finland – 1.2 million viewers
- France – 5.396 million viewers – 36.8% share
- Germany – 7.98 million viewers – 36.8% share
- Italy – 5.341 million viewers – 35.96% share
- Spain – 4.886 million viewers – 41.8% share
- United Kingdom – 7.6 million viewers – 56.3% share
Olly Alexander represented the United Kingdom in Sweden with “Dizzy”, he finished 18th with a total of 46 points.

The United Kingdom debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 and holds the record for the most consecutive appearances in the contest. To date, the UK has won the contest a total of five times, with their first victory coming in 1967 and their latest in 1997. The UK holds the record for the most second-place finishes in the contest, having been runner-up a total of 16 times. Since 2000 the UK has finished within the top 10 only three times, this being in 2002 with Jessica Garlick, 2009 with Jade Ewen and 2022 with Sam Ryder who finished 2nd in Turin.
