🇨🇿 Czechia: ESCZ 2024 Finalists Revealed

The seven artists that will be competing in ESCZ 2024 to represent Czechia in Sweden this May have been announced.

The Czech broadcaster has announced the participants in the nations selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. As previously hinted at, a total of seven acts will be competing on December 4 to be selected as the Czech representative.

The ESCZ 2024 finalists are:

  • Aiko
  • Elly
  • Gianna Lei
  • Lenny
  • MYDY
  • Tom Sean
  • Tomas Robin

ESCZ 2024 will be held on December 4 at Roxy Club in Prague. Adam Mišík will host the contest for the second year in a row. The winner will be chosen by a jury and online voting.

Vesna finished 10th in the final of Eurovision 2023 with their song “My Sister’s Crown”. Czechia received 12 points from the Swiss jury and 10 points from the Finnish public.

Czechia first competed in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. They achieved their best result at the contest with Mikolas Josef coming 6th in Lisbon 2018 with the song “Lie to Me”. Gabriela Gunčíková took Czechia to their first final in 2016. This was their first appearance in the grand final despite competing 4 times previously. Untill 2023, the nation took part under the name Czech Republic.

  1. Unbelievable fact about LENNY – her mother, Lenka Filipova, was selected to represent Switzerland in 1988 at Eurovision. However, she eventually wasn’t allowed to leave Czechoslovakia, so a back-up artist – Celine Dion – was chosen to sing the same song that eventually won Eurovision 1988 and gave Celine her world-wide fame. :’) Hope her daughter will make it to ESC now <3
