Norway’s Eurovision 2023 entrant, Alessandra, has announced she is to release a fan video of her song, “Pretty Devil”.
“Pretty Devil” was released on 9 June after a successful social media campaign, and the song has been a hit amongst fans, which has inspired many across the world to record dance routines of their own on social media platforms such as TikTok.
Alessandra herself has expressed her love of watching these recreations, and as a result has decided to release a special fan video for everyone to be involved in, and with two requirements to ensure a place in the video: to use the sound (“Pretty Devil”) and the hashtag #prettydevilfanvideo.
Who is Alessandra?
Alessandra Watle Mele, better known as just Alessandra, was born on September 5 2002 in Pietra Ligure in northwestern Italy to an Italian father and a Norwegian mother. At the age of 12, she won the fifth edition of VB Factor, a local talent show in the Val Bormida region. After graduating high school in 2021, she moved to Porsgrunn in southern Norway to live with her grandparents. She later moved to Lillehammer to study at the Lillehammer Institute of Music Production and Industries.
In 2022, Alessandra took part in the fifth season of The Voice – Norges beste stemme. She made it to the first live show before being eliminated.
Alessandra was chosen to represent Norway at Eurovision 2023 after winning Melodi Grand Prix 2023. She received the highest score from both the international juries and the public vote.
With her song, “Queen of Kings”, Alessandra finished in fifth place overall at the 67th Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, with a combined score of 268 points after receiving 52 points from the national juries and 216 points from televoting.

Norway debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1960 and have won the contest three times – in 1985, 1995 and 2009. The country has the dubious record of finishing last the most times, eleven in total, and have received nul points four times. Norway last won the contest in 2009 when Alexander Rybak broke all records with his song “Fairytale”. He scored 387 points in the final, receiving 16 sets of 12 points and scoring points from every country.
