Loreen has topped the Melodifestivalen 2023 exit poll, with over 1,000 audience members voting in the poll.

1,022 members of the audience for the rehearsal of the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2023 voted in the OGAE Sweden exit poll this evening. Topping the poll with nearly double the number of votes compared to second place, Loreen tops the vote with 36% of the overall vote.

The results of the exit poll:

  1. Loreen –  “Tattoo” – 368 votes – 36.0%
  2. Theoz –  “Mer av dig” – 168 votes – 16.4%
  3. Marcus & Martinus – “Air” – 93 votes – 9.1%
  4. Smash Into Pieces – “Six Feet Under” – 90 votes – 8.8%
  5. Panetoz – “On My Way” – 60 votes – 5.9%
  6. Kiana – “Where Did You Go” – 54 votes – 5.3%
  7. Nordman – “Släpp alla sorger” – 52 votes – 5.1%
  8. Jon Henrik Fjällgren, Arc North feat. Adam Woods – “Where You Are (Sávežan)” – 41 votes – 3.9%
  9. Maria Sur – “Never Give Up” – 40 votes – 3.9%
  10. Tone Sekelius – “Rhythm of My Show” – 32 votes – 3.1%
  11. Paul Rey – “Royals” – 14 votes – 1.4%
  12. Mariette – “One Day” – 10 votes – 1.0%

The final of Melodifestivalen 2023 takes place tomorrow evening. The winner of Melodifestivalen is being chosen by 50% public vote and 50% international jury voting.

Sweden debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1958 and has gone on to be one of the contest’s most successful countries. The country has won the contest six times, the most recent being in 2015. Sweden’s first victory came in 1974 when ABBA won the contest in Brighton with “Waterloo”. Since missing out on the final in 2010, Sweden has gone on to finish 3rd twice and has won the contest twice. Only in 2013 and 2021 did the country place outside of the top 10 in the final.
