🇭🇷 Croatia: New Staging For “Guilty Pleasure” at Eurovision

Mia Dimšić has revealed that she will have brand new staging for her performance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.

Speaking to Croatian media Mia Dimšić has revealed that her staging for “Guilty Pleasure” will be completely changed for Turin. Speaking on IN Magazin she confirmed that “We’re doing everything from scratch”, including that she will no longer be wearing black for her performance.

Traditionally Croatia has opted to keep their performances for Eurovision close to that seen at Dora, only opting to make minor changes around the edges of the performance.

Mia Dimšić was born on 7th November 1992. She began her singing career in 2014, when she embarked on a tour across the US and Canada with tamburitza band Džentlmeni. She released her first single a year later, and went on to release her debut album “Život nije siv” in 2016, which peaked at number one on the Croatian Albums Chart.

Mia will perform “Guilty Pleasure” in the 2nd half of the first semi-final on May 10th.

Croatia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993, they were one of three countries to debut in the contest that year. Croatia’s best result came in 1999 when Doris Dragović finished 4th in Jerusalem. She performed the song “Marija Magdalena” which scored a total of 118 points, this included 12 points from Slovenia and Spain. Croatia returned to the contest in 2016 having withdrawn after the 2013 contest due to a string of poor results and financial difficulties.
