ČT, the Czech national broadcaster, has confirmed to EuroContest.cz that they will be participating in Eurovision Young Musicians 2022.
Initially withdrawing from Eurovision Young Musicians, ČT has confirmed to EuroContest.cz that they would be participating in this year’s contest. This was confirmed by the head of the Czech delegation Jan Tengler.
The Czech Republic debuted in Eurovision Young Musicians in 2002. The country has taken part in every contest since 2010, with their best result being second place in 2016. Indi Stivín was selected to represent the Czech Republic at Eurovision Young Musicians in 2018. He qualified from the semi-finals to the Grand Final and placed outside of the top two.
Eurovision Young Musicians 2022
Eurovision Young Musicians will be held in Montpellier, France this Summer. This will be the second Eurovision event that France has hosted in the past year, with Paris having been the host city for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in December.
No details have yet been revealed regarding the venue for the competition, nor the exact date for the contest. To date the following countries have confirmed their participation:
- Czech Republic
- Norway
- Germany

Eurovision Young Musicians has been held bi-annually since 1982. The contest was based on the format of The BBC Young Musician of the Year in the United Kingdom. Performers in the contest must be aged under 18 years and are selected by their participating broadcaster. Each performer performs a piece of classical music of their choice accompanied by the local orchestra. The winner is decided by a jury made up of classical music experts and talents.
