Just under 600,000 viewers watched the second Semi-Final of Melodi Grand Prix 2022 on Saturday evening.
Overall a total of 574,000 viewers watched the second Semi-Final of Melodi Grand Prix live on NRK 1. The number of viewers did increase over the first Semi-Final with an additional 19,000 viewers this week. However, the audience for Melodi Grand Prix continues to be around 200,000 viewers lower than the 2021 edition of the contest.
Farida won the second Semi-Final of Melodi Grand Prix with โDangerousโ, he has secured himself a place in the final on February 19. The schedule for the remainder of Melodi Grand Prix 2022 is as follows:
- January 22 โ Semi-Final Two
- January 29 โ Semi-Final Three
- February 5 โ Semi-Final Four
- February 12 โ Second Chance Round
- February 19 โ Grand Final
An audience will not be presentย for the semi-finals or the Second Chance Round due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The country has the dubious record of finishing last the most times, eleven in total, and have received nul points four times. Norway last won the contest in 2009 when Alexander Rybak broke all records with his song โFairytaleโ. He scored 387 points in the final, receiving 16 sets of 12 points and scoring points from every country.
