Georgia’s search for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 will commence on April 4, after the first show was originally due to air on March 21.

Ranina 2026, the latest season of the Georgian selection for Junior Eurovision, will now start on April 4. The selection was originally announced as starting on March 21, but GPB removed the show from schedules before March 21. It is believed that the show was cancelled as a result of the death of Ilia II, the Patriarch of the Georgian Orthodox Church.

Ten singers will be competing to represent Georgia at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In the first episode, five of the ten participants will be taking to the stage. Davit Aladashvili is the host, with Vache Gviniashvili co-hosting.

The singers hoping to make it to the Junior Eurovision stage are:

  • Nita Nabashvili – 11 years old
  • Luka Mikadze – 12 years old
  • Davit Lomidze – 9 years old
  • Liliana Chachanidze – 8 years old
  • Tomas Turkadze – 11 years old
  • Luka Guturishvili – 10 years old
  • Anamaria Kukishvili – 10 years old
  • Zurab Naskidashvili – 10 years old
  • Ana Tavdgiridze – 11 years old

The show is held across multiple stages. In the first phase, there are four rounds of performances with each round focused on a different style. The five acts that received the highest scores across the four rounds qualify for the semi-final. In the semi-final, the top three singers will qualify for the final.

Their first win was just a year later in 2008, with the trio Bzikebi and their song “Bzz”. Their second win was in 2011 with the group Candy and their song “Candy Music”. Georgia’s third victory came in 2016, when Mariam Mamadashvili performed her song “Mzeo”. Most recently, Andria Putkaradze won in 2024 with “To My Mom”.
